I'd been looking for YEARS. Literally. And then LL Bean had a nice looking wool sweater that looked pretty long, so I went to the store and tried one on, and it fit, and I loved it, and I didn't buy it because it was too expensive.

But then I signed up for their e-mail updates, and they sent me something about giving a $10 gift card for purchases of $25 or more, so that helped the decision along, and I found a free shipping code (saving $10), and I don't have to pay tax if I ship stuff to Missouri because LL Bean has no store in Missouri (saving $9) so I bought the sweater.

And it arrived, and it's beautiful, and it's warm. But today it's 70° out and it'll be too warm for my new sweater for about another week. Well, they actually have blue toes and a blue heel, but they were mostly white. And it was sort of bittersweet, since I knew that these socks would only be pure white for a few minutes, this morning, before they picked up some stain from my shoes, and from being worn outdoors, and before they eventually get washed and gain a more natural, dusty white color. When I walked to my first class (thankfully wearing weatherproofed boots and carrying a massive umbrella), there was easily 3 inches of water on the ground, flowing downhill quite fast. And the rain hasn't really stopped since then: most of the quad is flooded, the sidewalks are hidden under leaves and water, and it's still overcast.
Piglet's song is running through my head.

Deceit

I've spent years thinking I was bad at memorizing dates in history classes. Great way to recover from the week.
Saturday, I did all the homework I have due on Monday and Tuesday, and some of Wednesday's work as well! So Tuesday I'll be able to spend time studying for this week's history exam.
Today, I sang at church (very energetic music, and a lot of sightsinging). Next up is going to see The Importance of Being Ernest, my favorite play. Then the Pi Delta Phi French dinner, then the senior recital of two good friends, then a meeting.
Busy, but good.

Hear about that new pirate movie?

It's rated "Arrrr!"

Semi-Done

Well, I finished writing my paper, with the exception of the summary of previous research.
