I'm in the mood for a road trip... I just want to drive for hours, and listen to an audio book, and have no cares or worries for a while.
But I have nowhere to go, no time to go anywhere, and no money to waste on destinationless gas.
I'll just have to hold out until November.
The downside of a place like Kirksville is that EVERYTHING is within a fifteen-minute drive.

I love road trips!! Do I ever miss having my own car while I'm abroad.
A couple weeks ago, I didn't want to go home after church, so I took a 15 minute drive down a section of a road I'd never been down. It's amazing how fast Edwardsville turns into nothing.
But the point is that if you can spare ten or fifteen miles worth of gas, this is an okay substitute. An audio book might not be appropriate, but relaxing music might do the job. Dunno.
