Meet me in St. Louis

Today Sweet Nothings got to do something super-exciting: we were invited to to to St. Louis University to sing at an a cappella concert! Stressful, because if we did well we might end up with more invites, and if we didn't it could take years before an opportunity like this arose again. But don't worry, we did well :)

The pesky part was that St. Louis is rather far away from Kirksville... we left at one o'clock, just as the first itsy-bitsy-Missouri-snowflakes of the year were falling, got there just in time for sound check at 5:30, practiced, performed, went for a snack... and came back. We arrived at four in the morning, which is the time of night when everything creepy happens. Which means that I had to sort of cheat in my NaBloPoMo-ness, because I back-dated this entry to fit day, though not the technical date. Sorry. I didn't expect perfection on my part...

Next time we get to go to St. Louis, we're going to try to find time to do something touristy... I got a glimpse of half of the arch from a distance (it's really tall, which surprised me) but we didn't have time to visit anything.
